Fountain Cibeles - Madrid

EsThis fountain was designed by the Spanish architect Ventura Rodriguez who run the project between 1777 and 1782. It appears that this fountain was initially aimed at the Gardens of La Granja de San Indefonso in Segovia, but when it began to renovate the Paseo del Prado, the fountain was placed in from of the Palacio de Buenavista, close to the main entrance to Paseo de Recoletos and facing the other major Fountain of Neptune. Between her and the palace there were small buldings where it was located inspection MIlitia and later the presidency of the Council of Ministers, until in 1780, burned down the whole group it was installed in 1782, it operated until 1792.
